Because NAMI SWLA currently operates under the supervision of NAMI Louisiana, the state organization keeps accounting of all funding and donation to the Model B affiliate.
If you are donating to NAMI SWLA via online, please write “NAMI SWLA” in the “Affiliate” section of the online donation form to indicate that your donation should be allocated towards the Model B.
If you would like to donate to NAMI SWLA via check, all donation checks should be made out to “NAMI Louisiana” and mailed directly to the NAMI Louisiana’s P.O. Box. NAMI Southwest Louisiana name should be noted in the memo line of the check, to indicate that the funding should be allocated toward the Model B Affiliate’s sub-account. If it is not clear that the money should go toward your Model B Affiliate, it may mistakenly get added to NAMI Louisiana’s state organization funds.
